Hello. I am Dan Bramall, (a.k.a. The Scribbler) and I am an illustrator and graphic designer.
My work is graphic, colourful and fun. Inspiration comes from the graphics used in popular culture, signage, my love of animals, picture books and the absurd things in life.
I studied Graphic Arts in Liverpool quite a long time ago and slightly more recently did an M.A. in Illustration too. I have worked as a creative in many different sectors including as a catalogue designer and an interractive designer/animator for educational projects. I have worked as a book cover designer and have also designed websites, logos and loads of marketing material.
My clients include international and local companies such as British Gas, Robert Wiseman Dairies, HarperCollins, Scholastic, Bloomsbury Books, Penguin Books, TK Maxx and Settle.
As a designer, I work with clients to make their brand stronger and to help them to sell their services. My art has appeared on everything from book covers, magazines, gas bills, milk cartons and the promotion of a music festival. I also do graphic recording sessions where I capture the content of meetings or training sessions in order to create a visual map of group sessions.
I sell prints and cards and I have exhibited my paintings and illustrations, including being selected for The Association of Illustrators’ Images – The Best of British Illustration and The Transport for London Illustration Awards.
